This upgrade transforms any of our veils into a Grecian-style cape that attaches to your dress straps, shoulder area or back bodice with brooch pins. Each pin functions like a safety pin, allowing the cape veil to be easily secured to clothing. This will no longer be able to be placed in your hair with a hair comb, like our traditional veils with a comb. It will be attached to your dress with brooch pins. Cape Veil FAQs: How do I determine the length?Since the cape veil is designed to be worn near your shoulders rather than in your hair like a traditional veil, it will hang lower than you might expect. To find the ideal length, take a measuring tape and start from the point where you plan to pin the cape on your shoulders. Measure down to the desired length. For example, if you order a knee-length cape (48 inches), begin measuring from your shoulders and stop at around 48 inches in front of a mirror. It’s helpful to have a friend or family member assist you with this measurement. Can I wear it in my hair after the cape conversion?Once you add the cape conversion to your veil order, it cannot be worn as a traditional veil in your hair. The cape is specifically designed to be attached to your clothing, making it unsuitable for hair placement after the conversion. Is there a hood?No, the cape veil does not come with a hood. Where can I attach the cape pins?You can attach the cape pins to your shoulder area or back bodice, especially if you’re wearing thin straps or a sleeveless dress.
