Impressed Recordings collaborate with DIY label caps lock records for limited vinyl release of Adelaide compilation album ‘Sitting In The Same Chairs’. Featuring the likes of Twine, Swapmeet and Any Young Mechanic, Sitting In The Same Chairs is a 16-artist compilation album from Tarntanya/Adelaide, released on Bandcamp in 2024 by caps lock records and now for the first time on vinyl via Impressed Recordings. Including a 12", 7", insert poster and hand-stamped vinyl jackets, the project has been a labour of love from the Adelaide artistic community, with vinyl lacquer being cut in Adelaide by John Gray from Analog Dreams. The records are hand-sealed with a custom paper outer sleeve and hand numbered to only 300 copies. Adelaide's music scene is a small but vibrant one, with some of the most exciting projects in Australia coming out of the city in the last few years. Curated by Thea Martin (Twine, Any Young Mechanic, short snarl), the record holds the sound of Adelaide together as something intricate and entwined - from demos to live tracks, studio recordings and DIY home recordings. caps lock records is dedicated to creating beautiful, small runs of physical media to support and connect the Adelaide artistic scene to each other and to the wider community, celebrating DIY ethos and aesthetics.
