The Capsule Lamp explores the relationship between construction and light through a simple geometric form. Visible pinched seams run along the edges, revealing how the individual ceramic elements are joined and challenging traditional expectations of ceramic craftsmanship, where connections are typically refined and concealed. Finished with a soft white glaze, the surface highlights subtle variations, textures and traces of the making process. The stacked composition creates a narrow opening between the two ceramic volumes, allowing warm light to emerge and emphasizing the lamp’s architectural character. Balancing sculptural presence with functionality, the Capsule Lamp emits a soft, atmospheric glow. Each piece is individually handmade in Berlin, resulting in subtle variations that make every lamp unique.
