Packaging and Preservation: MRE entrées are famously durable. They are not packaged in traditional metal tin cans; instead, they are sealed inside a heavy-duty, puncture-resistant triple-layer retort pouch (usually a combination of polyester, aluminum foil, and polyolefin). This design allows the food to be fully sterilized inside the pouch during manufacturing. Because the pouch blocks all UV light, moisture, and oxygen, the food remains shelf-stable for years without requiring refrigeration. MRE Flameless Heater - Heat your MRE pouches safely and quickly without fire, as they are designed specifically to be used with your MRE's to heat them anywhere, anytime.
