Carbitol is a low gravity low odour diluent with the faintest hint of an alcoholic scent. It is the best solvent for cardboard and car diffusers and it finds use in many historic a nimalic bases in rather high amounts where its delicate odour contributes more than just solubility. Carbitol may primarily be a solvent but it is not a stranger to fine fragrances, being found in fairly decent amounts in 212 For Men (1999) by Alberto Morillas for Carolina Herrera, Moon Dance (2014) by Juliette Has A Gun, YSL's Opium Pour Homme (1995, Jacques Cavallier), and Pour Lui (1980) by Oscar de la Renta.
