The Cardinal Tetra is a well known fish in the hobby due their striking blue and red colors. Similar to a Neon Tetra, the Cardinal Tetra will have a more vibrant coloration on their body. Tetras will swim within the top and middle levels of the aquarium. It’s a peaceful community fish that can be kept with other small fish. They may eat shrimp and fry on occasion. Tetras are best kept in schools of 5 or more.
