The inspiration for this artwork was from a photograph taken on an early morning walk in Hareshaw Linn. It has a large overhanging tree on the right of the gate; the gate was the old entrance into Hareshaw Linn in Bellingham many years ago but is sadly no longer there. The view shows a snowy path leading up to the kissing gate. Hareshaw Linn is a beautiful natural woodland walk with a few bridges and waterfalls to see along the way.
