Fine-textured Appalachian sedge is native to the dry shaded wooded slopes and rock outcrops of eastern North America. The very narrow arching leaves grow 12-18" long and 6" high as they drape over rocks and the woodland floor. Softening a rocky landscape, it combines well with Aster divaricatus and Iris cristata.
