We were pleased to present Carex howei 'Willow the Wisp' as a 2024 Plant Delights/JLBG introduction. We absolutely love this sedge, which is native from Michigan south to Florida a nd west to Texas. Our offering is an incredible Zac Hill collection from Johnston County, NC. Carex howei forms a stunning, big hair-like weeping clump to 1.5' tall x 3' wide. The extremely narrow foliage serves as a fine-textured element in the garden, contrasting beautifully with more bold-textured plants. In the wild, Carex howei occurs in blackwater streams in standing water, so this amazing sedge is one of the most wet tolerant species we grow. Show more
