It performs well in Ireland in light shade or sun, in moist but well-drained, moderately fertile soil; avoid waterlogging. Excellent for edging paths, soft groundcover and mixed planters, it typically reaches around 30–45cm in height and spread over time; simply remove any tired or winter-marked foliage to keep clumps tidy. To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height.
