tent cloth 01. This cloth was woven using cotton and the canvas of a WWII tent. The tent made in in Ottawa in 1944 by the CH Petch and Sons Co. The tent was taken apart seam-by-sea m and then unwoven thread-by-thread. The pattern of the stripes in this cloth is reminiscent of ticking, the fabric used in making mattresses, and reminds us that this tent was where soldiers would have slept. 16" x 246” Click here to see more work by this artist.
