Description Carmelo Patti Malbec 2019 is a classic and elegant expression of Malbec from Perdriel, Luján de Cuyo, one of the most traditional wine regions in Mendoza. Produced from vineyards planted on medium-deep clay loam soils with some rocky areas, the wine reflects the dry climate and the strong thermal amplitude of the region, conditions that favor balanced ripening and concentration. The wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, adding complexity and structure while preserving the varietal character of Malbec from the Mendoza foothills. This aging process integrates the fruit with subtle oak notes and enhances the wine’s aging potential. In the glass, it shows a bright red color with violet reflections. On the nose, it presents typical Malbec aromas of ripe red fruits and plums, combined with additional complexity from oak aging. On the palate, the wine shows sweet, rich tannins, good body, balance, and persistence, with a harmonious and elegant profile. With additional bottle aging, this Malbec continues to evolve and gain complexity, making it a very attractive wine over time. It is recommended to decant the wine for at least 1.5 to 2 hours before serving to fully express its aromas and structure.
