Rottensteiner’s “Pinot Bianco CARNOL” is a fresh, fruity and salty dry white wine from 100% Pinot Bianco from the “Carnol” Cru. The “Carnol” takes the name of Toni’s Rottensteiners birthplace. The grapes come from their best Pinot Blanc vineyard: the Tollhof – which grows on very mineral soils. This origin and a careful work in the vineyard give to the wine all the characteristics which make of this Pinot Blanc a refined example. Following harvest, the fermentation and vinification process is carried in stainless steel tanks to preserve the fruit-driven aromas. The appearance shows a bright straw-yellow colour, blending an enticing nose of green apple and hints of pear and white peach with a delightful and crisp flavor profile. The palate delivers in line with the nose, with mainly ripe Gala apple, white peach, acacia and some honey, and Alpine herbs, leaving a clean and invigorating sensation with fresh acidity. Food-match: A lively and fruit-forward white perfect in combination with starters, white meat and fish. Recommended serving-temperature of 10°-12°C.
