This is the Keahey Family’s Story.We had the honor of creating a sofa table for Carol, using pecan wood from a tree that once stood on her family’s property in Canton, Texas. Carol, along with her siblings Mark and Kaytricia, each commissioned a custom piece to be made from this tree—not just for the beauty of the wood, but for what it represented. As children, they spent Sunday mornings after church picking pecans with their father under that very tree. Afterward, they'd gather inside to shell the pecans together while watching the Cowboys game—a cherished family tradition and a staple of their childhood. Though their father has since passed, the tree stood as a symbol of his love and the memories they shared—until a windstorm in late summer of 2024 brought it down. That’s when the Keaheys called us. We carefully removed the tree, preserving its best parts to craft into meaningful heirlooms that now carry their story forward—reminders of the past, built to be passed on to the next generation of the Keahey family.
