Carp lodge has an impressive masonry chimney running up the side of the lodge and cut into the roof complete with a slate capped top and lead flashing to the base of the chimney . As well as the gorgeous handpicked shiny coated pebbles and a reclaimed waxed tiled slate roof , solid oak apex with rustic exposed uniformed pins and hand cut reclaimed lead adorns the ridge of the roof with its quirky finial at the end overhanging the oak gable .Carp Lodge boasts a solid oak dummy entrance door with an eye lacing strap as a door handle and a quirky overhanging door frame cut from solid oak which adds the rustic finishing touch .The door mat is cut from a piece of polished reclaimed slate. Carp lodge has a cute little four paned wooden port hole style window which adds great charm to this lodge . The port hole style window has resin carefully applied to imitate glass as well as protect it from the elements . An anchor has an added statement above the door and small pebbles have been delicately embedded around it which completely sets it into the stone work giving it a real rustic appeal . A cut slice of log at the top of the apex completes the finish with the name “Carp Lodge” inscribed by hand with a pyrography wood burning tool. We completed the finishing touches to Carp Lodge with a quirky little rowing boat with oars which is propped up against the side of the lodge with an added life buoy. A fishing rod leans idly against the rustic oak front door and with even more attention to detail a galvanised bucket filled with clear resin simulating water with a large fish just been caught placed inside which we made ourselves with resin and not forgetting those green wellies kicked off by the door ! We believe we covered everything whilst making this gorgeous, hand made, bespoke, and unique bird dwelling adding the fishing element to our Carp Lodge but again if you have some of your own requirements we are happy to work with you and accommodate you the best we can.
