I’ve caught plenty of carp with their backs or even heads out of the water using this pattern—where anything heavier would send them running. Bead Chain (Light Weight):The medium-weight bead chain Carp Maul is the all-around workhorse, ideal for shallow water with a little current. It sinks at just the right rate for most sight-fishing situations and still presents subtly and naturally.
