Carson Pass and beautiful Hope Valley offer some of the most magnificent scenery and larger peaks in the Greater Lake Tahoe area. Red Lake Peak and Stevens Peak stand out as some o f the larger descents in our area. Depending on conditions, we will plan to access terrain that is best suited for the current conditions. These peaks offer steep terrain, awesome views of Lake Tahoe, Hope Valley, and the Sierra Crest. Advanced skiing or splitboarding skills with good physical condition are required for this tour. This would be a great option after you have taken an Intro to Backcountry course, a AIARE 1 avalanche course, along with some personal backcountry experience. These tours average 3000-4500' vertical feet of climbing throughout the day. Show more
