Ladies' watches, unfortunately, don’t get the attention they deserve. It seems to be assumed that women are fine with shoddily-designed timepieces devoid of soul. Of course, this i s nonsense — there’s no reason whatsoever that a lady’s watch should be any less considered than a man’s! No watch better captures this philosophy than the Cartier Calandre. Rarely seen, this model features a beautiful, 18mm equestrian-inspired 'stirrup' case shape in 18K yellow gold with soft curves, an acrylic crystal, a cabochon crown, a smooth bezel, and a perpendicular, diamond-set top lug. Despite its unusual profile, it retains all the hallmarks of a classic Cartier timepiece: a white dial with black printed text is accompanied by a chemin de fer minute track, an applied, yellow gold Cartier logo, and a blued steel 'sword' handset. Powered by a quartz movement hidden inside its striking case and paired with a striking 18K yellow gold multi-link ‘mesh’ bracelet with a signed deployant clasp, this Cartier Calandre will surely add some spice to any watch collection.
