The oriental look of our black lacquer side table is completed with the elegant 'horse hoof' feet. Though the proportions are slightly lower, the overall style of the table is simi lar to the tea tables that would have been placed between a pair of chairs in a Chinese home for serving refreshments. These lovely little side tables have exactly the same features as our carved console table, but sized to sit perfectly next to a sofa or a bed. The lattice shelf that sits above the feet is in a classic design from China's Ming dynasty, made up of individually cut pieces of wood that fit together with mortise and tenon joints. The top surface is set with a sanded rattan panel, while the single drawer has a circular brass handle. Show more
