With the same features as our carved console table, these lovely little side tables, like the light elm model above, are sized to sit perfectly next to a bed or a sofa. The lattice shelf that sits above the feet is in a classic design from China's Ming dynasty, made up of individually cut pieces of wood that fit together with mortise and tenon joints. The top surface is set with a sanded rattan panel, while the single drawer has a circular brass handle. The oriental look is completed with the elegant 'horse hoof' feet. Though the proportions are slightly lower, the overall style of the table is similar to the tea tables that would have been placed between a pair of chairs in a Chinese home for serving refreshments.
