Here is something extra special! Our standard carving axe with a stunning curly grain, hard maple handle. Justin outdid himself on this handle, picking the most highly figured grai n and sculpting the handle to perfection. This is both a working tool and an heirloom to be passed down to future generations of craftsmen.This carving axe is forged from 4150 alloy steel. The bevels are ground wide and flat for good control while carving. Overall weight varies from 28 - 30 ounces and blade length is approximately 4". The octagonal handle is hand crafted of premium hard tiger maple, and is 12" - 13" long. Note, this listing is for the axe only. A custom sheath is available separately. Show more
