This chili is also known as chile bola. CASCABEL means rattle in Spanish, and you can hear a rattling sound when the chili is shaken! The flavours of this chili are a little smoky and woodsy, with tobacco and nutty tones. It gets more earthy when roasted. It is wonderful added to salsas, sauces, soups and stews.
