The case will be made from 7mm Astroboard, a lightweight but very strong polypropylene honeycomb material. The case will be fitted with interlocking aluminium sections to the joint edges to give a splash proof seal. Edges will be fitted with 30 mm aluminium angle. Large zinc coated pressed steel ball corners and edge brackets will increase strength and protection. The lid is secured to the base with two butterfly type catches at the front and with three hinges at the back. A recessed sprung handle will be fitted to the front and ends.
