Cashmeran® has it all — fruit, florals, musk, wood and spice. It is one of the most interesting materials in the perfumer's palette and really quite indispensable these days. Fragr ance marketers often refer to it as “Cashmere Wood” or “White Wood” but there is so much more to it. Cashmeran® works from traces to overdose, as evidenced by the nearly 7% used in By The Fireplace (2015) by Maison Martin Margiela where it blends with Boisambrene Forte, Z11 and a massive 4% of Trimofix. A mere whisper exploits Cashmeran's fruity side in Tom Ford's Lost Cherry (2018), and we would be remiss not to mention the astonishing overdose of 25% found in Duro (2007) by Alessandro Gualtieri for Nasomatto where Spirambrene and an additional overdose of Javanol at 3.5% focus its woody energy.
