BARNBURNER Cask-Strength Bourbon — the one they almost didn’t let cross the border. Aged 5 years in Bardstown, Kentucky, bottled at a cask strength @ 60% ABV, this is bourbon in its natural, untamed state and very smooth. Each bottle is hand-numbered and traced back to the barrel it escaped from. MASH BILL and TASTING NOTES: 75% Corn - 13% Rye - 12% Malted Barley Nose:Inviting aromas of caramelized brown sugar, toasted oak, and vanilla bean, followed by hints of honeycomb, orange zest, and roasted pecan. Subtle undertones of leather and tobacco reveal its maturity. Palate:Exceptionally smooth and rounded, opening with butterscotch, maple syrup, and crème brûlée, balanced by spiced rye, clove, and a touch of dried fruit. The texture is silky yet full-bodied, coating the palate with warmth and depth. Finish:Long, lingering, and elegant — notes of oak spice, vanilla, and dark chocolate fade slowly, leaving a soft sweetness and a gentle Kentucky hug.
