The Apollo CAST-1 makes your non-smart speakers smart! The CAST-1 plugs into powered speakers, amplifiers, and AV receivers with a 3.5mm cable and allows them to connect to ESPHome and Music Assistant (via SendSpin). This lets you stream music, announcements, alarms, and more from your smart home to your existing speakers. The CAST-1 runs open source ESPHome firmware and supports SendSpin, the open audio streaming and synchronization protocol developed by the Open Home Foundation. SendSpin also lets you synchronize whole-home audio across multiple CAST-1 units, or a mixture of CAST-1 and other smart connected speakers, meaning you can walk from room to room enjoying your music, all playing perfectly in sync. You can connect the CAST-1 over Wi-Fi or with the optional Ethernet HAT for a wired connection.
