To take a sip of a Castarede Armagnac is to sip Armagnac’s history. Founded in 1832, the house is the oldest business still operating in the region. Now in its sixth generation, th e Castarede family, under the auspices of Florence, runs the firm and maintains “eco-museum” cellars, dedicated to preserving their original 19th century spirit The estate and its cellars sit on the Baise River at Pont-de-Bordes, in the Lot-et-Garonne department. Armagnac Castarede makes available vintage and non-vintage Armagnacs distilled primarily between 1900-2000 from throughout the Bas Armagnac. The Armagnacs are wood-aged in 400 liter oak casks in the Castarede cellars. Show more
