This is the shielded cord for ordinary interference: the rack next to the UPS, the access point above fluorescent ballasts, the camera run that shares a conduit with power. An overall foil shield (F/UTP) wraps all four pairs and bonds to shielded metal RJ45 plugs at both ends, so noise stays outside the cable. It's the middle of the shielded range, above plain UTP and below the double-shielded S/FTP cord, and for most noisy sites it's enough. The 26 AWG stranded copper conductors keep it flexible for a shielded cable, at 6.0 mm. It meets Category 6 and works with Cat5e and Cat6A equipment. Features F/UTP overall foil shield. It blocks EMI and RFI from power equipment, motors, lighting, and PoE injectors. Shielded RJ45 plugs. The metal plug housing carries the shield through to a grounded jack. Gigabit and multi-gig rated. It runs 10/100/1000 Mbps, 2.5G, and 5G links, and 10GBase-T over short patch runs. 26 AWG stranded bare copper. It contains no copper-clad aluminum, and the stranding keeps it flexible. Molded snagless strain-relief boot. It protects the latch when you pull cable through a bundle. Flexible PVC jacket. The cable is RoHS compliant. T568B wiring. It comes in 0.5 to 100 ft lengths and eight colors for color-coding your network. Where It Fits It suits industrial and manufacturing floors, camera and access point runs near electrical equipment, server racks beside UPS and power distribution gear, medical and lab equipment rooms, AV and broadcast racks, and any multi-gig link where plain UTP has been flaky. Good to Know A shield only works when it's grounded. Plug this cord into shielded jacks, patch panels, or switch ports so the foil has a path to ground; on an unshielded port it still works as a normal cable but you lose the shielding benefit. Cat6 carries 10G over short distances only; if you need 10G on a longer channel in a noisy spot, use the shielded Cat6A cord. For severe interference, next to drives, welders, or switchgear, step up to the S/FTP double-shielded cord.
