UK based producer, DJ, and multi-instrumentalist George King has already captured the ears of the BBC and the attention of forward-thinking peers like Caribou and Bonobo, featuring as a performer in the latter's Outliers series. With these accolades in his back pocket, King has stepped up his game yet again on Tides, adding a new dimensions to his folktronica sound. With the help of arranger Thomas Lea (Adele/Bonobo), King augmented these tracks with a bevy of orchestral flourishes and lush strings, lending a distinctive organic flavor his electronic productions. Catching Flies first entered our Vinyl Moon orbit way back on Vol. 036: Shapeshifters. We're proud to say we were early on this great artist who's doing big numbers and making big moves!
