Catnip (Nepeta cataria) is a perennial herb from the mint family, known for its effects on cats and its medicinal uses. To grow, sow seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost o r directly outdoors after frost danger passes. Plant in well-draining soil in a sunny spot. Keep the soil moist but not waterlogged.
