One of Joel McCrea's personal favorites, CATTLE DRIVE is an atmospheric frontier tale variation on the adventure story, Captains Courageous. Chester Graham, Jr. (Dean Stockwell), t he spoiled teenage son of a railroad tycoon, gets lost in the desert but is rescued by Dan Matthews (McCrea), a cattle herder on his way to San Diego.
