Cavallotto Barolo DOCG Riserva “Vignolo” 2018This traditional Barolo Riserva comes from the organic Vignolo cru in Castiglione Falletto, made with 100 % Nebbiolo and aged 4–5 years in large Slavonian oak casks. The 2018 vintage shows a bright, deep garnet colour and a rich, complex nose of truffle, leather, dark wild raspberries, and hints of peach compote. On the palate it’s dense and compact, with vivid, grippy tannins, vibrant acidity, and a long finish of plum and fennel seed. It’s beautifully structured, polished yet powerful, with a harmony of minerality, menthol, and warm fruit. With proper cellaring, it can evolve over many years.
