Case of 6 bottlesBottle Size: 750 mlVintage: 2018Varietals: Nebbiolo 100%Alcohol %: 14.5Region: PiemonteTasting Notes: The 2018 Cavallotto Barolo Riserva Bricco Boschis Vigna San Giuseppe stands as a testament to the winery's dedication to traditional winemaking and organic viticulture. Aged for an impressive 60 months in large Slavonian oak casks, this wine is sourced from the esteemed San Giuseppe parcel within the Bricco Boschis vineyard in Castiglione Falletto. The vineyard's southwest-facing slopes and 40-year-old vines contribute to the wine's depth and complexity. On the nose, the wine reveals a rich tapestry of aromas, including wild red berries, violet, dark spices, forest floor, tobacco, and new leather. The palate is equally compelling, offering layers of raspberry compote, ripe cherry, star anise, blood orange, and baking spices. Its full-bodied structure is supported by firm, fine-grained tannins and bright acidity, ensuring its longevity and evolution over time.Ageing/Vinification: fermented with indigenous yeasts, macerated with submerged cap for 20-35 days. Aged in Slavonian Oak Casks for 4-5 years. Aged in bottle 12 months before release into the market.Vineyard: Vineyards are located in MGA Bricco Boschis, parcel of “Vigna San Giuseppe” – Nebbiolo for Barolo 100%.
