This fossilised tooth belonged to a Ursus spelaeus, the cave bear, which inhabited Europe during the Late Pleistocene, roughly 30,000 to 50,000 years ago, displayed in a museum qua lity glass dome bell jar. Recovered from cave deposits in Eastern or Central Europe, the specimen has been carefully cleaned and stabilised, preserving a physical trace of one of the largest carnivores of the Ice Age.
