Artist's print of my mixed media artwork of a Splendid Fairywren (Malurus splendens) bird or 'djorrdjilya' in Whadjuk noongar, prancing in the low scrub and resting on an old log. He is based on one of the super speedy blue wrens at Caversham Wildlife park, here in WA, although we do see them down by the river in Bassendean. This is the fifth in my Basso Birds series, a series on bird life from my local Bassendean area on Whadjuk Noongar Boodja in Western Australia. The original was created using watercolour, graphite, coloured pencil and pastels.
