Past members of Cavity have went on to form Black Cobra, Floor, and Torche (among many others). One of multiple historic reunions at Desertfest 2026 - we are honored to host the return of Florida’s unsung heroes of raw power! CAVITY is a punishingly heavy band out of South Florida whose sound merges punk intensity, blues-driven doom, and sludge metal into a uniquely visceral blend. Originally active from 1992 to 2001, CAVITY became a defining presence in underground heavy music, releasing a series of influential recordings before disbanding. Re-emerging years later, the group retains the raw power of their early work while embracing a more stripped-down, experimental direction. Their performances are known for their precision, weight, and emotional force, presenting a seasoned band that continues to evolve while honoring its legacy. With new material and upcoming performances, CAVITY stands as a renewed and forward-moving creative force in modern heavy music.
