Our caxixi shakers are made by filling a woven rattan basket with seeds and attaching a smooth coconut plate to the bottom. These versatile shakers are then played by either shakin g them on their sides so that the seeds hit the basket for a soft sound or vertically, up and down, so that the seeds hit the coconut plate for a harder, almost metallic sound.
