Navajo Signed Green Turquoise and Sterling Silver Cuff featuring an elegant example of Navajo silversmithing, this cuff bracelet features nine oval turquoise cabochons, each bezel set in a handcrafted sterling silver band with an internal circumference of 17cm (for a smaller wrist) and a width of 1.8cm. The turquoise cabochons, measuring approximately 0.6cm high and 0.8cm wide, display a range of deep green hues with little to no matrix. Intricate feather motifs and twisted rope detail frame the stones, and the bangle has softened square ends ensuring a comfortable fit. Weighing 37.2g, the silver exhibits a soft patina and subtle wear, enhancing its vintage character. Marked 'STERLING' (slightly worn) and signed with partially worn initials 'CB' with the C in line with the top half of the B or it could be 'SB', 'EB' or 'FB' with wear to the bottom half of the first letter - please see photograph. This beautiful piece is consistent with Navajo craftsmanship, likely from the mid-20th century.
