Designed by Roberto Lazzeroni in 1992, the circular Large Flower sofa was initially conceived for the hospitality sector, but it soon found its place in spacious residential enviro nments as well.The design of Large Flower is extremely sophisticated, and its distinctive features include the absence of a padded backrest and the circular seat with a raised solid American walnut centerpiece, which hosts a striking double vase made of transparent blown glass. The inner vase is supported by a burnished brass structure that rests on the outer vase.The details are very precise: the legs resemble those of an animal, and even the burnished brass feet recall anthropomorphic shapes. The design recalls the style and principles of the 19th century, reinterpreted in a contemporary key: Lazzeroni’s approach is a modus operandi based on a cross-disciplinary design vision inspired by both distant and recent pasts, echoing diverse influences.
