It smells really good. What is Hydrosol? Hydrosol is a by-product of the steam distillation process. Though it shares many of the same properties as essential oil, hydrosols are made up mostly of water. This means they’re much less concentrated than essential oils and have a softer, more subtle scent, making them a wonderful addition to skin care or aromatherapy products. Compared to essential oils, botanical hydrosols have a more subtle scent than their essential oil counterparts and can safely be used directly on the skin.
