This is cedar stripped back to its lightest, driest essence. Use it to add crisp woody dryness to leather accords, chypres, and masculine fougères. It anchors compositions without adding sweetness, giving you the top fraction of cedarwood oil in isolated, controllable form. It also makes an excellent starting point for building custom cedar accords by blending with richer cedarwood materials. Pair it with cedryl acetate and cedrol for a full-spectrum cedar effect, or with vetiver and patchouli for dark woody depth. It works beautifully with Iso E Super and its derivatives, adding definition to their transparent warmth. A true workhorse of the woody palette.
