Phase 1: Polyester Pre-filter This layer can filter bigger particles like hair, lint, dust, and pollen as the first defense line. Phase 1 creates interlocking polyester fibers which trap lint and dust. The interwoven pattern prevents tiny fibers from getting into the air stream. This ensures that the pollutants are trapped, helping people with asthma and other lung problems. Replace the polyester pre-filter once every 3-4 weeks. Phase 2: Activated Carbon Filter The activated carbon filter acts as the chemical filter among the CeilingMount1000’s three-phase system. The activated carbon in the filter pad removes volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and other air pollutants that may irritate the eyes, nose, and throat.
