These art pieces feature washes of colored mica powders mixed with epoxy resin atop a wooden canvas. Several layers are built up over many days through both tool manipulation and hand painting to create a depth that can only be appreciated upon close inspection. Streams of floating purple pigments appear to rise and fall in rivers. Fine clouds of shimmering flakes sparkle in the darkness. Gold bands ripple across, concentrating light in the center. Manuela's inspiration stems from the idea that all things and all beings are born from energy and recreated with the same energy. We share a universal connection: from the smallest parts of our world to the vast reaches of space, in a natural cycle of life. This combination of purple and gold represents the excited state, where warm tones evoke growth and activity. Complete drawer front replacement, not a veneer.
