A design that originally paved the way for futuristic sneakers in the world of running now returns as a renewed streetstyle staple. When PUMA innovated the CELL technology, it was the most durable and resilient cushioning technologies of the day. Launched in 1998, CELL Alien OG was structured for high mileage runs with the CELL bubble packed through the heel for extra cushioning. When it first debuted, the silhouette was so revolutionary that even aliens were believed to have descended on earth to own a pair.
