This contemporary cello creates a rounded, sweet sound that can be best displayed in intimate settings, recordings, or chamber ensembles. It responds easily to the player's touch, making it effortless to play. Its smooth, well-balanced sound helps to connect melodies across all ranges. This instrument has been expertly set up by our workshop staff and will be available during our initial "La Forma del Suono" Exhibition in early 2026. Roman Teller developed a remarkable varnish technique that gives his instruments a distinctive inner glow. He worked in Bubenreuth/Erlangen, Germany, from the 1920s through the 1970s. Teller passed his knowledge of violin making to his son-in-law, Rudolf Buchner, who later took over the workshop. According to the Juzek family, Teller also made some of their Master Art models during the 1950s.
