Short description: A Celtic Cross tarot spread chart — a 17″ x 21″ oversized printed reference guide covering all ten positions of the Celtic Cross spread with card position meanings, interpretive guidelines, and visual layout. The Celtic Cross is the most widely used multi-card tarot spread in English-language practice, and having a physical reference on your reading surface eliminates the distraction of consulting a book mid-reading. An essential tool for beginners building their spread vocabulary. Description: Quick Specs Type: Printed reference chart for the Celtic Cross tarot spread Size: 17" x 21" oversized format Material: Quality paper, folds or rolls for storage Best for: Beginners learning position meanings, classroom teaching, client readings The Most Important Spread in Tarot, Laid Out Clearly The Celtic Cross is the spread most tarot readers encounter first and return to most often. Its ten-card structure covers the present moment, the challenge crossing you, past influences, subconscious drivers, conscious goals, external influences, hopes and fears, and the likely outcome. It's powerful because it holds complexity without becoming unwieldy, and its positions build on each other to tell a coherent story. This guide presents all ten positions with their meanings in an oversized 17" x 21" format that gives you room to actually read the labels while cards are laid out. Trying to memorize position meanings while also interpreting cards is a common frustration for students. Having this chart beside the spread removes that friction entirely. Practical Use in Study, Teaching, and Client Readings The chart works as a physical reference during practice sessions, a teaching aid for introducing the Celtic Cross to students, and a reference card to keep beside a reading table for client sessions. The oversized format means position labels are visible at a glance even when cards cover the layout. It folds or rolls easily for storage between uses and holds up to repeated handling without quick wear. How to Use the Celtic Cross Tarot Spread Guide Use this oversized chart to guide and support your Celtic Cross tarot spread practice. Place the Chart as Your Layout Map Spread the guide flat on your reading surface and use it as a physical map for placing your cards. The labeled positions show you exactly where each card goes and what it represents before you flip a single card in the spread. Shuffle and Lay Out Your Ten Cards Shuffle your deck with a specific question in mind. Deal cards one through ten in the order shown on the chart. The cross section covers positions one through six; the staff on the right holds positions seven through ten. Read Each Position With the Chart Beside You As you interpret each card, refer to the chart's position label to anchor your reading. This is especially valuable for the nuanced positions like card nine, hopes and fears, which often trips up newer readers without a quick reference nearby. The Tarot Fellow Standard The Celtic Cross was popularized in print by Arthur Edward Waite in 1910 and has remained the most widely taught spread in tarot for over a century. I stock this chart because the format matters: a 17" x 21" print gives you room to work with standard tarot cards without craning to read tiny labels. It's a practical tool I'd recommend to any student committing to learning this spread. Find it alongside other study aids in my tarot accessories.
