The Celtic Knot is the most recognised symbol in Celtic Art History. Circular Celtic Knots are regarded as Celtic symbols of unity and eternity. The Square Celtic Knot, known as a Shield Knot, offers protection from evil spirits. Celtic Knot designs are assumed to be mystic or endless and symbolise time without end. Celtic Knot Meanings have always been very speculative. Contemporary scholars assumed however that the symbols represented basic tenants of life, mankind and spirituality. You will see we have combined two different celtic knots in our Clansman design and used a sumptuous rich array of navy blue, bottle green and golden brown.
