At least half of my family was originally from Ireland. After my high school graduation, my great aunt, my mother, and I traveled to Ireland for two weeks to get “back to our roots .” As an 18 year old, I was skeptical about some aspects of the trip (which included scouring birth and death records in old churches, and literally walking through cemeteries looking for our family name). But, we had a wonderful time reconnecting as a family and we have many fond (and funny) memories from the trip.This cowl has a mosaic pattern that winds around the cowl in an almost magical fashion. It reminds me of the wide green pastures, rocky fences, Celtic town names, and sheep that dotted the countryside.
