"5+1" refers to five years' Caribbean ageing followed by one further year in Spain.A blend of Caribbean rums (Guyana, Barbados) aged five years on the islands, then transported to Williams & Humbert's Jerez bodegas for one further year in former Palo Cortado sherry casks. The Spanish ageing step is what distinguishes the Dos Maderas range — contributing dried-fruit and nutty depth that complements the Caribbean base.Vanilla, raisin, dried orange peel, walnut and toasted oak. The palate is rounded and lightly sweet, with Caribbean cane depth wrapped in sherry-cask warmth, finishing soft and gentle.
