Located in a XVIII century farm house near Bologna, Italy, Ethel Norcia has been designing and creating handcrafted jewelry for her celebrated brand, Tolemaide since 2001. Each fin ished piece reflects inspiration taken from Ethel’s fine artisanal background. These buttons are a beautiful collaboration between Tolemaide and Studio Carta. Transformed beautifully via a two stage firing process, each clay button is shaped and glazed entirely by the artist’s hand out of her workshop in Italy. Each set of six ceramic buttons is hand stitched with thread and needle onto cardboard backing.
